Verdict

This could be a decent maiden as several of the newcomers have nice pedigrees and should win plenty of races between them. Aneedh, Argaki and Magique fall into that category but it's a surprise to see the sprint-bred Gold Burst making his debut over 7f. Those with experience set a fair standard, however, and Lionheart should improve further on his third at Sandown. Living Desert was thought good enough to contest the Coventry Stakes in June but has been a tad disappointing since and this is his first run beyond 6f. LORD OF THE GARTER's debut third at Newmarket has worked out well and he went down with all guns blazing over this trip at York last time. This looks a good opportunity for him to open his account.
