Verdict

SIRIUS PROSPECT comes out best at the weights in this but can ruin his chance by starting slowly and ran a shocker over 7f at Ascot last time. He finished well ahead of Lui Rei, when conceding 4lb, in a Listed race at Newmarket last month, however, and a repeat of that form would make him hard to beat. Artistic Jewel won a similar contest at Doncaster two runs ago and was a good third at Pontefract subsequently. But she has to give weight to older horses courtesy of a 5lb penalty and that may prove beyond her. Caratteraccio has his first run for Marco Botti and may need it but is still preferred to Piazza San Pietro.
