MOTRICE is fancied to become yet another winner to emerge from the gates of Heath House and he can upstage Othello, Corres and the supporting cast. The filly has a typical profile for one that's associated with Sir Mark Prescott and she looks sure to appreciate being stepped up in trip having failed to get past Goldtrek on her handicap bow over eleven furlongs at Lingfield. She's been raised by 5lbs for that run yet gets in here from her old mark and this half-sister to the smart Foreign Affairs is expected to improve for this stiffer test. Othello certainly appreciated being stepped up in trip at Chepstow but the second and third home did little for the form next time when a long way behind the selection and he has a 4lb higher mark to contend with as well as a longer trip. Corres moves up in trip but drops in grade and, as such, looks interesting as it was a decent event that he contested at Newbury whilst Red Barcelona was made favourite last time so is clearly deemed capable of better but that may matter little if Motrice improves as expected.
