ROUGH ROCK's record over course and distance is strong and he is taken to see off Perlachy and Bertie Southstreet in a competitive handicap. Chris Dwyer's charge looks competitive as he is able to race off a mark of 66 this afternoon. That's only 3lbs higher than his win here last month and with Ashley Morgan taking over in the saddle a big run is anticipated assuming the ground doesn't get too soft. Perlachy is well-treated at the moment and there was more promise in his third at Wolverhampton last time. That appears to be his favourite track however he has run some good races on turf before, admittedly without getting his head in-front. Elusive Hawk needs a market check on this return to action as he is now 2lbs lower than his last win; all three of his victories have come on the Fibresand at Southwell. Bertie Southstreet has a penalty for a recent win here over five furlongs but the longer trip today isn't a problem and he might not be done with just yet. Silver Prelude is a well-handicapped course winner, Big Boom is respected following a break after a Southwell flop, whilst Angel Of Fashion hasn't been with the yard for long and is handicapped to win races. Rough Rock is given the vote.
