In depth

Verdict

A low-key finale in which stakes should probably be kept to a minimum. Flash Crash is 4lb better off than when finishing just over two lengths behind Conducting at Warwick. King Of Wing ran his best race for a while when third at Wolverhampton on Monday but is 5lb higher back on Turf while The Ducking Stool has looked vulnerable off higher marks since scoring over course and distance in April. PIERS GAVESTON has been difficult to train but ran a lot better than the bare result suggests in an amateurs' race at Newbury last month and will strip fitter here - he gets the nod.
