Verdict

The Shaun Lycett yard enjoys a good record at this track and WEAPON OF WAR should be a main contender. He returned from over two years off to run Knighton Combe to a length and a half and has solid credentials unless plagued by the bounce' factor. Keenes Day, ex-Mark Johnston on the level, has stamina in spades and will be staying on when others have cried enough. He merits respect in a rather weak contest whilst Midnight Whisper has his first run over hurdles for the in-form Woollacott team and should be tracked in the market. Miss Tilly Oscar, a bumper winner, is obviously seen by connections as an out-and-out stayer making her hurdling debut over this trip. She completes the shortlist.
