In depth

Verdict

Ma Toolan makes plenty of appeal here having bounced back from unseating her rider behind Faith Jicaro over C&D in August to finish third over a longer trip to Quinsman at Bangor. DECEPTIVE suffered the same fate in that race but left that running behind when chasing home Dubai Glory at Huntingdon. That may turn out to have been a decent effort and she can go one better today. Young Victoria is almost certainly better than she showed when tailed off at Exeter on her hurdles bow while Toot Sweet had decent form in bumpers last season and is another to consider. The market will be the best guide to the readiness of Jonjo O'Neill's newcomer Social Realism, though she was a winner on the Flat in her native France.
