Verdict

Old Pals Act didn't help himself at Uttoxeter by hanging badly under pressure and Jonjo O'Neill's five-year-old will need to have improved in the interim as the handicapper has rubbed salt in the wounds by putting him up 5lb for that effort. Jigsaw Financial should have gleaned some confidence for a convincing win in selling company here last week, but we think WILLIAM HOGARTH is worth a closer look at the likely odds. Keith Goldsworthy's gelding drops back in trip having campaigned over three miles and the assessor appears is giving him a chance off a mark some 15lb lower than that which he held a year ago. Bracken House won at Towcester on a faster surface but he's shown an aptitude for cut in the ground and he should be capable of giving another fair account.
