        Verdict

BIG ROBERT has been beaten quite some way in three runs since scoring at Hereford over this trip in April but his overall profile still sets the standard and this appears to be his optimum trip. He has to concede a stone to the promising Vinomore who has looked a useful sort in the making here the last twice in bumper company and it is only the hurdling experience of the selection that affords him the vote. Shaun Lycett's charge is well worth watching for the future whatever her fate today. Laudatory looks the other one for the shortlist but is passed over as he has yet to enter the winner's circle at this trip.
