Verdict

Don't Be Late was a winner over course and distance in May and while he may have benefited from a couple of weeks away, we'll take FLAMING ARROW to win the nightcap. The assessor appeared to get a little too excited by his victory at Hexham but he's taken the decision to drop him down the weights after a couple of defeats and Kevin Ryan's five-year-old can take full advantage. Staigue Fort shaped with a degree of promise in a couple of bumpers at Lingfield Park and is one to watch with the future in mind. George Woolf demonstrated an aptitude for fast ground in the past so connections have reached for the visor after a series of moderate runs. Laustra Bad holds few secrets from the handicapper although he is sure to be keeping on when others have cried enough.
