In depth

Verdict

Keenes Day looks a hard ride and will struggle to concede weight all round after finishing a one-paced third at Fontwell on Sunday, though he did get the better of Wayward Glance over 2m4f here last month. The latter is 7lb better off now however. ROYAL SCOUNDREL has bounced back well from injury this year and was probably being aimed a little high in a handicap at Ffos Las last time. He kept on well to beat subsequent Bangor scorer Keltic Crisis over 3m1f at Southwell in July and is just preferred to the mare Floral Patches, just beaten by Keenes Day on her debut under Rules before beating Chargen by 15 lengths over track and trip three weeks ago.
