Verdict

The market will be the best guide to chances of well-bred newcomer Mississippi Blues but he'll have to be useful to get the better of PORGY on his racecourse debut. Brian Ellison's Flat winner may have already had five runs over timber but he ran the useful Royal Bonsai to three lengths at Cartmel in the latest of those and a repeat of that effort would make him hard to beat here. Petie McSweetie won a Fontwell bumper last month and didn't fare badly on his hurdles bow at Huntingdon. He could reverse that form here with the nine-year-old Adorabella while Aurorian and Legend Erry should also improve as they gain experience.
