Verdict

Best Excuse wasn't beaten far on his latest start over C&D and could make it third-time lucky today. But we fancy Irish raider GLEN GYLE may be good enough to concede weight all round as the five-year-old, a winner twice between the flags, positively relished the heavy ground when scoring on his debut under Rules at Hexham and will appreciate conditions here. Sir Benfro needs to improve again on his victory at Newton Abbot but Catch Me Up has shown some promise and Minella Ranger has been placed in points. Mumbles Bay has a decent pedigree but was tailed off on debut at Ffos Las.
