In depth

Verdict

ON THE BRIDGE is difficult to oppose in his current mood. He's won both starts over hurdles since returning from a break with plenty in hand and proved just as effective over fences last year. Synthe Davis won over the bigger obstacles at Fontwell for the first time, finishing a long way ahead of Wester Ross, and AP McCoy keeps the partnership intact. The mare can build on that while Atlanta Falcon also has some scope after just two runs over fences. Spock won over track and trip last year but is taking time to get going this summer while Back Bob Back races for the first time since March and would have preferred softer ground.
