Verdict

Trip and going are ideal for Markington but Peter Bowen's stayer has been well below par this year and the fitting of a visor for the first time isn't an encouraging sign. Postmaster wouldn't be without a chance on his best form and Very Cool remains potentially well treated over timber, despite a modest effort over C&D 10 days ago. Haldibari goes well at the track but returns from a break, while Aghill was surprisingly beaten in a novice event at Uttoxeter last month and the mare Am I Blue is a couple of pounds higher than when only second at Hereford in June. It's a long time since BENMADIGAN raced over this trip but he was doing his best work at the finish when fourth over 2m4f here last time and, getting a lot of weight from in-form pair Teenage Kicks and Red Not Blue, could be worth a small wager in an open race.
