Verdict

DESERT LOCATION, a half-sister to the useful Free Agent, is bred to be better than a 63 rated handicapper and it would be no surprise to see her land a valuable - as far as her paddock value is concerned - success on her move out of maiden company having shaped as though in need of a step back up in trip last time. Stan Moore has a decent strike rate with his juveniles at the track and the relatively consistent Ivan's A Star should be on the premises again but Ivan Vasilevich appeals as a bigger threat as Jamie Spencer rides for the first time and has a high strike rate for the yard. George Baker rides this track as well as anyone and has teamed up to good effect with David Evans of late and they are represented by Better Self who went close in a course seller over seven furlongs and should stay this far whilst Sky Diamond merits respect.
