Glenridding returned to winning ways over track and trip last week when holding off the re-opposing Needwood Ridge by a half-length. They're closely matched again today, but the pair will do well to get the better of GLOBAL VILLAGE. He's tumbled down the weights this year and took advantage when scoring over C&D earlier this month on his first start for Brian Ellison. Still 9lb lower than when winning here last season, he should have no problem following up now he's back to his best. Spinning Ridge has a bit to find with the selection on latest running and last month's Newcastle winner Chookie Avon makes more appeal.
