Verdict

Powerful Wind just edges it at the weights but has shown nothing since winning at York in May and LAST SOVEREIGN makes more appeal. He was winning as recently as last month when landing a Newmarket handicap and Ollie Pears' charge gets the vote in this company. Dickie's Lad is another who may be flattered by his current mark as he's been well beaten on his last five starts while Mother Jones has plenty to find on today's terms despite having scored at Brighton last time when Scommettitrice was back in fourth.
