        Verdict

        Chia can come out on top in an open-looking handicap, with Odessa Star, Flyingit and Westering Home others to consider. It has to be said that Chia does have a tendency to find one or two too good, but surely it will not be long before she does finally open her account. Connections have used a variety of tactics to work the oracle without success so far, but the four-year-old seems an honest sort and is worth chancing on her first try over today's trip. Odessa Star battled her way to a third Polytrack success when just getting the better of Bavarica here last time, and at the weights should at least maintain the placings over that rival, while Flyingit has claims on last year's form but has plenty of weight. Westering Home has first-time cheekpieces to help her cause and does not look too badly treated so has to be worth more than a passing glance, but Chia deserves to score and can do so here.
