In depth

Verdict

Hits Only Cash gets the nod over Desert Lover and Haroldini in a tricky finale to the Wolverhampton action. Haroldini has held his form well since winning in the grade over course and distance last December. The mount of Jason Edmunds takes his racing well and, even under top weight, he has solid claims in this company. As does Desert Lover, who is already a dual c&d winner. Admittedly, he was disappointing last time out but, considering that he won off this mark around this time last year, it would be dangerous to overlook him today. Even so, it may be more profitable to take a chance with Hits Only Cash, who has long threatened to add to his tally. The gelding ran a blinder to finish a close second last time and, with his stamina now proven, he looks a worthy betting proposition in a tough one to call.
