Verdict

BRIDGEWATER BOYS can record back-to-back successes at the main expense of Quince and Rapid City. The selection beat Augustus John at Lingfield earlier in the month and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to get his head in front again. He does boast a decent level of consistency which is more than can be said for most of his rivals today and it will be a disappointment if he is turned over. Quince looks the obvious danger but he has finished second four times in five claimers and we expect that pattern to be continued today. Rapid City had every chance when third behind Mystic Art last time, but he was unable to capitalise on it and he appears to be on the decline. This is a race that lacks any strength in depth so it will be a surprise if the other pair are good enough and we will stick with Bridgewater Boys to land the prize.
