Verdict

EPIC BATTLE picked up where he left off on his return from over a year's absence. He scored at Lingfield earlier this month and has plenty of scope for further improvement. Laudate Dominum is looking to perform the same feat as the selection as she won at Beverley when last seen at the track in September last year. Incendo went close over a longer trip here last week and can figure along with Berlusca, who finished ahead of Ishikawa when runner-up over a slightly shorter trip a fortnight ago. Lean On Pete carries a penalty for his recent course and distance victory but should still go well.
