In depth

Verdict

The two with experience are easy to dismiss, especially as a handful of potentially smart two-year-olds make their introduction. Lord Ali McJones cost 40,000gns but may need a longer trip before we see the best of him, while Vinnie Jones is a first foal but his dam is half-sister to five winners. Wolfgang is entered in valuable Sales races later in the season and the dam of Complex is a related to top-class sprinter Winker Watson. However, MONNOYER is a half-brother to seven winners and the 50,000gns son of Dutch Art may be up to winning at the first time of asking.
