The Ron Hodges-trained Little Edward is by some way the pick of the eight runners for this claimer but he has struggled in limited opportunities since winning a handicap over course and distance over a year ago and looks best watched on his belated reappearance in a race taken to DESPERATE DAN, who gets the vote with Ten Down looking the best of the rest. The selection has been running consistently well in handicaps here of late, winning last month, and looks worth another chance in this grade having been below par in a similar contest last time. Hinton Admiral won well in a Yarmouth claimer when last seen in May but lack of a recent run is of come concern for his new stable having been claimed out of Richard Fahey's yard. Mick Quinn's Ten Down is better than he showed in a handicap here last time but he needs to improve to trouble the judge, while Milton Bradley's Bluebok is not as good as he once was and looks booked for a place at best. Andy Haynes has his string in fair form and Desperate Dan can give him another winner.
