      Verdict

Grant Tuer treads new ground with, Snowy Day, his first runner on the All Weather and looks to have a solid chance of making it a profitable venture; Kilimandscharo and Melvino are forwarded as dangers, while a betting market move for Snark could prove significant. The last named returned from his winter break with a solid effort at Lingfield last month and can be expected to be sharper for the outing. He has nothing to fear regarding the trip and, assuming he acts on the track, can go well at fair odds. Melvino is capable at this level and has been in good heart of late. Wolverhampton brings the best out of him and he is a likely candidate to at least make the frame. Kilimandscharo still has scope for progression and, although he is yet to win at this distance, stamina ought not to be an issue for this son of Rahy. Of more concern is his new mark of 68 and a quarter measure would not be good enough today. Therefore, it may be worth chancing a small stakes investment with Snowy Day, who showed plenty of promise in five starts for William Haggas and, as he is at the right end of the weights, he could easily have plenty more to offer in this grade.
