Verdict

FIRE IN BABYLON arrives in fine form having beaten Sommersturm over track and trip earlier in the month before scoring again at Southwell during the week. Noel Quinlan's charge is taken to shrug off a penalty and continue winning ways in this. Secret Song has proved frustrating over 1m2f but looks a likely improver over this longer distance and the same comment applies to Perivale. Annaluna moves in the opposite direction as she scored over 2m at Ffos Las when last seen at the track in July while Blazing Desert finished a length ahead of Uncle Bernie here last time, though neither threatened the winner.
