      Verdict

A difficult getting out stakes with a number of in-and-out performers taking their chances. Joanna Badger will be hoping for a win after an unfortunate absence and course and distance winner, Spanish Star, should go well. He is fairly modest but is at least consistent and should give backers a run for their money. Conversely recent winner, Salim, rarely runs two races the same and he is difficult to recommend with too much confidence. Peter Hiatt looks to hold the key to this race with two major chances. Scented Air ran a decent race to take an amateur's prize at Dunstall Park in January and is just four pounds higher today. We, though, will side with his other runner, Tight Squeeze. She was a tad disappointing on her last visit to Wolverhampton but beat a decent field of handicappers at Lingfield last time out. She has only been penalised with a four-pound rise and with a decent draw, she looks the percentage call in a tough race. Course and distance winner, Crusoe is respected from the draw of six.
