AVONCREEK won an amateurs' race over C&D recently and Brian Baugh's charge gets the token vote dropping down a grade having beaten Takajan and Bachelor Knight last time. Along with Odd Ball, the latter had earlier finished behind Tamino, who was engaged to run at Kempton last night but should figure if taking part, when Alastair Lidderdale's charge was runner-up over C&D. Tancred Spirit finished third at Southwell in December which is better form than any of the remainder have so far shown.
