Gold Club scored over 6f at Kempton last time but has yet to race over today's trip. Mambo Spirit won over track and trip last month but never figured off today's higher mark last time while though Yair Hill finished ahead of previous course winner Tango Sky when fourth here recently he only won a plating race at the track in January. Hoy Hoy has won a maiden race at Chepstow but missed the whole of last year, as did RURAL AFFAIR. But the latter scored twice for Mike Appleby in 2013 and could go close if fully primed for her return.
