Verdict

SUFFOLK PUNCH can land a blow for Andrew Balding and he gets the vote over Satwa Crown and Listillo. The selection made a pleasing impression on his debut at Chepstow when he finished third behind Sir Parky after being slowly away. That was in a better race than this and now back in maiden company he is taken to open his account. Ed Dunlop's newcomer Satwa Crown could be the main danger as he is a Dubai Destination colt who has a good low draw and the yard are in form. Listillo has shaped with promise on his two racecourse appearances but he will need to improve to win this and the high draw is definitely against him. The Sir Mark Prescott-trained Captain's Paradise is worth a market check on his racecourse debut, but in a race where the market may provide the clues we will side with Suffolk Punch as the pick.
