    Verdict

Plenty with claims in the closing event. Tatting won twice on the Fibresand at the turn of the year but is equally at home on this surface, while the lightly-raced pair Hill Fort and Appease are both capable of getting involved with further progress expected. Red Shuttle is upped in class after scoring here last time, however, and Ocean Applause won a lesser grade contest at Kempton last month. EXCELLENT PUCK was flattered by his proximity to the high-class Jakkalberry in a conditions race here in January but this is more his level and Shaun Lycett's colt is fancied to prove too good for these.
