    Verdict

This looks the stronger of the two claimers with the 82-rated HARRY UP getting the vote over the 78-rated Desperate Dan. Kevin Ryan's gelding is a speedy front-runner who is well-drawn for another attack once again. Darryll Holland gets the ride and as one of the best pace-setter's in the country he could easily pick up first place. Desperate Dan is the main danger, and on the adjusted ratings he comes out level with Harry Up. Andy Haynes' gelding has plenty of experience and he comes here chasing a hat-trick, following on from beating the selection last time; on that form and at these weights he could feasibly have the edge again. Our Acquaintance is another course and distance winner but he has a bit to find on the ratings and may need the run after a break. Firenza Bond is another returning after an absence and Geoff Oldroyd's gelding is less exposed; he has a different profile to most in the line-up and may not be far away. Towy Valley is a decent enough filly but her latest places efforts seem to have illustrated that her current mark flatter her slightly. A decent claimer and one in which we will side with Harry Up.
