Verdict

All of these are stepping up in distance today. Cotes Du Rhone has gone the furthest so far when beaten three lengths over 1m3f at Kempton last time and should get home, but Quiet Appeal is less certain to stay having finished runner-up to the progressive Karma Chameleon over a mile at Southwell three weeks ago. Astroscarlet looks more likely to improve over this trip than mile winner Jimmy The Lollipop, but a speculative vote goes to LONE STAR STATE. He posted a much improved effort over the extended mile at this track last time and there should be more to come from Frank Sheridan's colt on his handicap debut.
