        Verdict

        Angelina Ballerina continues to prove vulnerable, and while she stands out here as the highest BHA-rated runner we will take her on with INPURSUITOFFREEDOM. The Pastoral Pursuits filly made a very pleasing debut at Newmarket in August, when an unfancied 100/1 shot, running third to a Godolphin hotpot. The runner-up has come out and won on the Polytrack at Kempton on its only subsequent start, auguring well for our selection. The McBride yard is also in form, while this step up in trip should be a positive, so we will take a chance on her. Angelina Ballerina is officially rated 69 after numerous defeats, and she is proving expensive to follow. She steps up markedly in trip now, although she is likely to do better over a mile or so at three and she looks worth taking on again. One Cool Poppy was well down the field in a valuable Ascot sales race last time, but can now start to realise some of the promise shown on her Salisbury debut and she should be capable of getting involved. Dubai Phantom made some progress from first run to second, but may be a more likely winner when handicapping, while the same applies to Chichina, who would not be a leading light from Mark Johnston's Middleham stronghold judged on what we have seen so far.
