Verdict

Plenty with claims here but it could pay to look no further than the top-weight AVON RIVER. His latest effort behind Layline is the best recent form on show and Richard Hannon's charge can take this with a capable apprentice making his task that much easier. Paul Hanagan rides Sand Tiger, but George Chaloner's 7lb claim should see stablemate Mighty Clarets reverse recent form with Kidlat, and he looks to have the better chance of the pair. Star Links bids for his hat-trick and should figure again, but the progressive First Post could prove a bigger threat on his return to action.
