      Verdict

Abunai, Avertuoso and Sir Nod make most appeal in this handicap and we will nominate Abunai to land the prize. Roger Charlton's filly has been knocking on the door of late and she was only beaten a head by Shustraya at Kempton over 7f last time. This drop in trip should suit and although she has a poor draw to overcome, if she gets the breaks then she should take plenty of beating. Avertuoso has been fighting a losing battle with the handicapper for a while now, but this 3-year-old ran a blinder at Musselburgh last time when he was only narrowly beaten and he looks primed for a big run today. Sir Nod has got course form and although he has also won over this trip, he is arguably better over slightly further. Westport looks the best of those with a low draw and could go well at a price, but Abunai could be a cut above the rest here and she gets the vote.
