Verdict

David Barron has given SPARKING a nice break since the filly landed an uncompetitive maiden here in March and has also found his charge a fair starting point for life in handicap company. The C&D winner looks open to improvement, albeit at a modest level, unlike the majority of her more exposed opponents and can go in again. The Tatling has been the most wonderful of servants to Milton Bradley and continues to be competitive at a level far removed from his pomp. He should go well again, whilst First Blade, failing to fire in recent efforts, would have claims if rediscovering his edge. Attrition showed good pace when caught here late on in February and a repeat effort would see him involved here.
