    Verdict

Cooleycall Star deserves to win a race having found one too good in each of his last three starts but may again have to settle for a minor role as there are others who are better treated including Shaaban, who gets the vote ahead of Beauchamp Star. The last mentioned represents the in-form stable of David Evans and, while disappointing in a handicap over course and distance last time that was a much better race than today's; on earlier form he holds solid claims. Dejeeje is another that has been contesting banded stakes races and may find the opposition too tough and of more interest may be Gerard Butler's Best Game, who drops to a more realistic level. A similar comment applies to Spinnakers Girl, who also has to be respected, but the vote goes to Shaaban. The son of Woodman has been running well in better race son sand and it is interesting that he is switched back to this surface having not been disgraced on a return to turf earlier this month.
