Philip Hobbs has a decent record with his runners on the level and it will be interesting to see what level of support LEND A LIGHT attracts. The colt was well held in all four starts for his previous yard and hasn't been out since February of last year but an absence isn't a concern for one from this yard and it would be no surprise to see him run a big race. Querido has won two of his last three and remains well enough treated on the pick of his form and he should cope with this slightly shorter trip whilst It's A Mans World landed a touch at Southwell on Thursday over seven furlongs and must be respected as a result although he's not certain to get this trip. Tallawalla, King Of Connacht and Hector Spectre are others to bear in mind.
King of Connacht 16-1 (8-11) Took keen hold, hampered and lost place 9f out, headway 2f out, switched left and chased winner final furlong, not quicken towards finish, 3rd of 12, 3/4l behind Make Amends (9-2) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp 0-65 (6) pol in Feb.
