        Verdict

        DASHING EDDIE scored over C&D in November and has won twice at Southwell since, including when odds-on yesterday. The penalties will be tough to overcome if he makes a swift reappearance but he's still just preferred to another progressive type in Cheers, who won at Lingfield a fortnight ago and should be capable of better still. Others with claims are more exposed including recent Lingfield third Pytheas and November's C&D winner Monsieur Pontaven, while the likes of Arrivaderci and Only Ten Per Cent are looking to translate recent placed form on the Fibresand to this faster surface.
