La Gifted sprung something of a surprise belying odds of 33/1 when landing a handicap at Lingfield earlier this month and Mick Channon's filly has every chance of following up off just a 3lb higher mark today but this slower track may not suit her and a better alternative may be COLOMBARD with Mansii rated the best of the rest. The selection is not as good as he was as a juvenile but he has shown signs of a return for Patrick Morris of late and may be worth siding with in this competitive but moderate contest. Chris Dwyer's Mugeba has slipped to a winning mark but she has been well held in recent outings so is hard to recommend. Paul Howling's Tamino was beaten a long way out at Lingfield when last seen in June but has been given a chance by the handicapper, while Herbert Crescent is hard to recommend on recent form but has every chance at the weights. Mansii is another that has dropped considerably in the weights of late and he has claims off his current mark but preference is for Colombard.
