STEVIE JUNIOR is the pick for this very modest maiden, being preferred to Daylumnev and Reaction. Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt ran a little green on debut over 7 furlongs at Newmarket in a better maiden than this, but ran on well, and the step up in trip should suit. Daylumnev improved from debut to be placed last time out, and also looked like further wouldn't be a problem. Reaction has a couple of places to his name, but hasn't really lived up to hopes yet. Aegean Warning is the most exposed, but his best effort came 3 runs back. Mark Johnston's Fin Vin De Leu looks the more interesting of the newcomers, especially given his strike rate here. But given the debutants, and most of the others being lightly raced, the usual caveat of check the market applies here. It's not a race to get overly excited about, but we'll side with Stevie Junior.
