Verdict

ALTERNATIVE CHOICE didn't stay the trip when stepped up to 2m at Lingfield in January. However, he'd shown good progress before that when landing a hat-trick, including two victories over C&D, and Nick Littmoden's charge can return to winning ways here. The Blue Dog has been in fine form and nearly followed up a win at Lingfield when narrowly beaten at the same track a fortnight ago. He looks to have every chance, along with Kingdom Of Munster, whose best form on turf entitles him to consideration. Port Hill goes well here and looks best of the rest.
