In depth

Verdict

Taylor Maid has shown enough in recent starts to suggest that she should be good enough to win a race as moderate at this and gets the vote ahead of Rosiella and Saucepot. The selection showed enough on the all-weather during the winter and in better races than this on turf recently to make her the one to beat and the daughter of First Trump is hard to oppose. Rock Fever drops down in class but has given little sign of encouragement, a fair second in a couple of sellers here over five furlongs apart. David's Symphony is less exposed than many of these and this is his level, while Eden Star has struggled in similar contests since winning in this grade at Lingfield in April. Alan Berry's Hillside Heather has dropped dramatically in the weights of late and would have an obvious chance on the pick of his form but has been way below that recently. Rosiella is another to have slipped down the weights of late but has at least shown some signs of retaining ability, while Saucepot is entitled to be thereabouts on recent evidence. Taylor Maid has fairly solid claims though and she gets the vote.
