Verdict

In another low grade wide open handicap ONLY A GAME looks interesting now just a pound above his last winning rating and he gets the tentative call ahead of Cheery Cat and Imperial Djay could feature if building on his run in a maiden last time out. A winner at Lingfield in December the pick has put in a few decent efforts since including placing at this track. He was well held in a claimer on his last run but back in these ranks off this mark he has every chance. Cheery Cat scored over course and distance on his penultimate run and ran better than the form figure shows last time so off the same mark in a distinctly ordinary race he is a live contender. The lines from Imperial Djay's run last time have a nice look to them but he has a bit to prove off this mark in this company. Lake Chini is beginning to look really well weighted and seems to be a leading player after a spark of form on his last run while Metropolitan Chief knows how to win but as a bit to prove after his latest performance. Another tricky puzzle but the missing piece might be Only A Game.
