Three Scoops, still a maiden after a dozen starts, made a pleasing debut on this track in November when runner-up to Microlight and should get competitive from 2lb higher. Granny Anne was well backed when easily scoring over the trip at Southwell when Pyrenean was a long way behind but looked ideally suited to Fibresand and she's since been well beaten over a mile at Lingfield. Soviet Spring pulled very hard when attempting to make all over a mile at Lingfield on Friday and was a spent force inside the final furlong though he managed to hang on for second behind Elvira Delight. CATHCART CASTLE couldn't go with the pace over 6f at Kempton last time and is much better over this trip. The handicapper has given him a chance by dropping him a few pounds and he gets the vote.
