In depth

Verdict

SMOKEY RYDER can take this contest at the expense of Cecily and Bob's Dreamflight. Smokey Ryder proved to be a real moneyspinner for connections during the late autumn and early winter period with three wins on the bounce. This is a first run for Ron Harris but the trainer is in form and it is to be hoped that progress can be maintained. Cecily is obviously the class act. The market will tell us all that we need to know about the Sir Mark Prescott runner. Bobs Dreamflight landed a gamble at Great Leighs. The handicapper has only lifted him 6lb for that success. Sir Geoffrey is a confirmed front runner so expect to see him speed off from the gate at a rate of knots. Satwa Street performed well against an odds-on hotpot at Lingfield and is another who is likely to be towards the early pace. Smokey Ryder gets the percentage call.
