In depth

Verdict

Chrystal Venture, Countrywide Comet and Ogre make plenty of appeal in this contest and the vote is given to Chrystal Venture. The selection disappointed on her previous try here but she has since been out and shown improved form and she looks like one to stay on the right side of. At Leicester last time she was only narrowly beaten by Wiseman's Diamond and that rates as solid form in the context of this race, and she has a decent draw here and the services of Seb Sanders to further fuel the confidence. Countrywide Comet arrives here in good form and is chasing the hat-trick but the combination of a penalty and a poor draw could scupper his chances of winning again today. Ogre put up a fair effort at Warwick last time finishing in mid-division behind Swanky Lady. She has to be of interest on her handicap debut but she is another that has not been done any favours by the draw. Natural Rhythm has the plum draw and can go well at a price, but for the winner we will stick with Chrystal Venture.
