Verdict

Plenty with claims in this. Lacey posted a better effort over track and trip last time and a repeat of Story Writer's second at Lingfield in January would see him in the mix. Akdam steps up to middle-distances for new connections having failed to figure in three starts for John Oxx in Ireland while Pereira has a couple of lengths to make up with LIGNUM VITAE. The latter found only one too good on his debut here last month but is expected to improve for the extra distance and Richard Fahey's charge gets the nod.
