Verdict

SAGESSE has the typical profile of one from her yard. A half-sister to very smart former stablemates Songerie and Souvenance, Sir Mark Prescott's filly landed a maiden at Kempton last month and will improve further over this longer trip. Like A Diamond is less certain to appreciate a step up in distance but his recent second to Modernism is decent form while Fly Solo, Spanish Plume and Oratorio's Joy all managed to find one too good at this venue last time with the latter allowed to race off the same mark today. Bute Hall made a winning start for new connections in a claiming race here, his first outing since 2012, but will find this tougher.
